Our Mission
We specialize in comprehensive teacher support with a focus on literacy training. Our mission is to empower educators with effective strategies, tools, and resources that elevate literacy instruction and student engagement. We provide targeted training sessions, one-on-one coaching, and customized workshops designed to meet the unique needs of teachers at various experience levels. Through our support, educators gain the confidence and skills to foster a love of reading and critical literacy skills in their students, enhancing educational outcomes across diverse classrooms.
Meet the Team
Mary Ann Panella-Best has spent her career as an elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educator and supervisor, reading interventionist, Orton-Gillingham trainer, and teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Her experience covers public and private schools, and she has served as a consultant across the United States.
Evelyn Chaveriat has spent her career as an elementary educator, reading specialist, Orton-Gillingham trainer and school administrator. Her experience covers public and private schools. Evelyn has served as a consultant for both international and stateside schools.
Our Story
Mary Ann Panella-Best and Evelyn Chaveriat's professional paths crossed in the early 2000s when both were contracted as trainers for a top training company that specialized in Multi-sensory reading using the
Orton- Gillingham methodology. Evelyn and Mary Ann trained teachers in more than 20 states through out their time together. Their work included consulting with districts*, providing small group teacher review trainings and individual work with teachers as they put their training into practice. Both Mary Ann and Evelyn have continued to consult teachers and recognize that implementation and getting started are often barriers. This has become their area of expertise. Best Education Consulting,LLC provides tailor-made plans to meet the concerns of districts, schools and teachers.
